On March 25th was held the official opening of the rafting season 2017 and the first Balkan Rafting Festival. For the good mood took care the youth brass orchestra of Simitli.
Balkan Rafting Festival was visited by rafting clubs from Serbia, Macedonia and Romania, which waited with great impatience to get acquainted with Struma River. The clubs made several descents on the river, and then relaxed in the thermal baths in the area. The evening was devoted to party and balkan music. The Romanian team had a training camp in preparation for a competition in Romania in two weeks.
The official opening was covered by several TV stations native and was attended by hundreds rafting fans.
