A snake entering a rafting boat while rafting down Struma river is rare, but not impossible.

During the rafting trip last week, a small water snake entered through the drainage holes of the rafting boat. Her presence caused a slight panic in those present, but the snake was more frightened than all the others.

Water snakes in Bulgaria are not poisonous and dangerous, when we meet them, we should not hurt them but give them the opportunity to continue their journey safely.

So it happened in our case, the snake was taken out of the boat and released into the water.
