During the past weekend, several events were held that filled the air in the municipality of Simitli with the breath of chestnuts, the sound of motorcycles and freestyle wrestling.
For the 13th consecutive year, the chestnut festival was held in the picturesque village of Brezhani. Hundreds of residents of the municipality gathered on the square to listen to folk music, dance Bulgarian dances and taste the dishes of local women.
On Saturday, the third edition of Extreme Enduro Krupnik was held, in which more than 300 participants with cross-country bikes took part.
At the same time, in the village of Polena, the typical for the village holiday wrestling’s took place, in which both local young people and from more distant towns took part.
After we conducted our rafting trips on the Struma River, we managed to visit each of the events, even at a later stage;)
