Rafting in the beautiful Zagorie in Epirus region. Small villages are filled with typical area stone houses. Overnight stays are in a campground, in the city of Ioannina, located on a picturesque lake.

Day one: we leave Sofia in the morning and arrive in Ioannina, accommodation in camping tents. Free time in the old town of Ioannina. The accommodation is in tents in a campground.

Day two: transfer to the canyon of Vikos River, which is one of the biggest and the most beautiful in the Balkans. The river has turquoise blue color. We get our equipment, listen to the safety briefing and go into the river. Its grade is 2+, and it is famous for its beauty, trees bending over the river and picturesque curves. During the trip we go under stunning stone bridges. Transfer to the campground. The accommodation is in tents in a campground.

Day three: we pack our luggage and transfer to the canyon of Arachthos River. We equip ourselves for the rafting and get into the river. The river grade is about 3+, and during the rafting we go through many rapids with different profiles and difficulty. We stop for a break and take pictures of a beautiful waterfall. After the rafting trip is over we head to Sofia and arrive in the evening.

Recommended period: May-September.

Level of difficulty: you do not need experience in rafting.

Needed things for the rafting trip: swimming suit, t-shirt and a towel, thicker clothes for the evenings, food during the trip.
