In the period 15th-18th of September, Milena and Maria (instructors in Rafting BG) succeeded in passing through the distance between Vidin and Silistra – 416km for 3 days and a half. Here you can see details about the kayak adventure and some pictures:
Day one: kayaked distance 118km, from 791km (Vidin – 05.10a.m.) to 673km (Esperanto island – 07.30 p.m.) Average velocity – 8,5km/h, moving time 13 hours and 45 minutes.
Day two: kayaked distance 108km, from 673km (Esperanto island – 05.00 a.m.) to 565km (against Lyuta island – 6.35 p.m.) Average velocity – 8,0km/h, moving time 13 hours and 22 minutes.
Day three: kayaked distance 116km, from 565km (against Lyuta island – 04.55 a.m.) to 449km (Brashlyan island – 6.50 p.m.) Average velocity – 8,6km/h, moving time 13 hours and 45 minutes.
Day four: kayaked distance 74km, from 449km (Brashlyan island – 04.55 a.m.) to 375km (Silistra – 01.30 p.m.) Average velocity – 8,6km/h, moving time 13 hours and 45 minutes.
All the luggage all the time was in the kayak – food, water, tent, sleeping bags and mattresses. The used drinking water for the whole period was 14 litres for both girls.
