You want to run away from civilization? You can do it for 2 days by rafting on Arda River.

Day one: we meet at the Hydro Power Plant – Beli izvor, where we get equipped and listen to the safety briefing, and we start our two day rafting adventure, during which we are by ourselves in nature, the road stays far away. After 4-5 hours paddling through the extreme rapids of Arda River, we stop to spend the night on the attractive and mysterious Devil’s Bridge (it is the biggest stone bridge in the Rhodopes Mountains). We set our tents and camp and make a campfire, near which we discuss our rafting adventure.

Day two: after we got some rest and breakfast, we again get equipped and our rafting trip continues. We need to conquer the second part of Arda River. The rapids full with adrenaline are followed by slower sections, where you can have a break to get your strength back. After about 4-5 hours paddling for the day we reach the ending point, where the river goes in Kardjali Dam.

The rafting on Arda River is good for people, who have tried the adrenaline of rafting and are looking for a longer adventure in nature.

Recommended period: February/May and October/November , when rainy period is.

Level of difficulty: we recommend you to have tried rafting on other rivers, before coming to the two days rafting on Arda River.

Needed things for the rafting trip: swimming suit, t-shirt and a towel, thicker clothes for the evenings, food during the trip.
